Ask what the first charge buys
An inspection fee may be separate from treatment. Ask whether it covers the whole accessible property or only the reported room, whether a written plan is included and whether the fee is credited toward later work. Get the answer before booking.
Separate removal from entry-point repairs
Trapping and monitoring address animals already present. Sealing gaps is a different job. A basement pipe opening, damaged garage seal or inaccessible roof edge may require different materials and labor. Ask which openings are included and which need a separate contractor.
Count the follow-up visits
A low starting quote is not always the lowest total. Find out how often traps are checked, who removes captured animals and what happens if signs persist. Ask whether additional visits are included, billed separately or part of a recurring plan.
Check exclusions for your property
For rentals and attached homes, clarify whether shared areas can be inspected and who can authorize repairs. Cleanup, damaged insulation and work behind finished walls may be outside the treatment quote. Do not assume the same scope from two different providers.
Get the terms before approving work
